To ensure we can provide the care, quality and customization you deserve, we kindly ask for advanced notice of:
2 business days (Corporate)
10 business days (Private)
3 months (Weddings)
Bookings may be subject to date and menu item availability.
+ Is there a minimum/maximum number of event guests required?
We require a minimum of 10 event guests for our corporate menus, and a minimum of 30 event guests for reception-style dinners. We also offer a custom in-home chef experience that requires a minimum of 4 event guests.
Please note, there is no minimum spend.
+ What areas do you service?
We are proud to serve locally in Calgary, as well as the immediate surrounding area. We do travel, however, it is dependent on budget relative to the event size. There will inevitably be additional costs associated with events further afield.
+ Are you able to accommodate dietary restrictions? (Gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, etc.)
Absolutely! With advanced notice (5 business days, please) we are happy to accommodate your guests’ allergies and dietary restrictions.
+ Do you offer a tasting-session so I can experience your dishes before I place my order?
Yes! We offer complimentary tastings for up to four guests. Please contact us
for availability and more details.
+ Can I create my own, custom catering package?
We pride ourselves on offering a tailored catering experience. We consider our menus a starting point for further innovation and customization, and we would love to work with you to create a unique menu, theme and experience.
+ Do you use locally-sourced ingredients?
We believe deeply in supporting local farmers, producers and vendors, and we strive to craft our dishes with locally-sourced ingredients. We also feature locally-sourced liquor and craft beer within our beverage offering whenever possible.
+ I would like to serve alcohol at my event. Can I book this through you as well?
Absolutely! Urbane can offer host, ticket and cash bar selections. We offer bartending services for $300 (including one bartender, ice and garnish). This fee is waived if Urbane liquor sales exceed $300. We are happy to customize our beverage offering to your taste with custom cocktails and more.
+ Do you deliver? What are your delivery charges?
Yes, we deliver. Our standard delivery rate is $50.00, and we offer a discounted delivery rate to returning clients. Please note, additional delivery charges may apply depending on the nature of your function.
+ Do you also provide linens and dishware?
While we do not supply linens and dishware, we are happy to assist you in sourcing any of your rental needs.
+ Do you provide serving staff during events?
Yes, our team of professional, polished and friendly serving and bar staff will ensure your catering experience runs smoothly.
Please note, an 18% service charge will be applied to events that require serving and bar staff.
+ Do you provide catering setup, cleaning during the event, and cleaning after the event?
Our staff will provide catering setup in advance of your event, cleanup during the course of your event, and clearing of all meals, drinks and supplies following your event. We are committed to leaving your event space in tip-top shape. Beyond catering, we are also happy to assist with limited event set up and teardown.
+ Do you require a deposit?
We require a 25% deposit to confirm your booking date.
+ What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept e-transfer, Visa, Mastercard and cheques. Please note credit card payments carry a 2.5% processing fee. All personal cheques must be submitted 5 business days before your event date.
+ Am I required to have a liquor license?
The party providing the alcohol to be served must provide a Liquor License. Urbane Catering is fully licenced.
